five myths about real estate that you may not know. We’ll look at everything from money down to real
estate agents so you know exactly what to expect.
Your Down Payment
Myth number one is that you need 20% down to buy a house. However, that’s not the case. There are so
many loan options and loan types out there. Some even allow for zero money down.
I’m not surprised that many people don’t know this. Let’s face it: the financial part of buying a home is
one of the most stressful aspects of the entire process for most people. So many people will skip the
first step in the entire process, which is talking to a local lender to get pre-qualified.
Remember, you don’t know what you may be able to qualify for unless you ask the right questions and
talk to the right people.
Prequalification And Negotiations
Myth number two is that you will never be able to get pre-qualified. The question to ask here is, have
you asked? If so, have you gotten a second opinion? Having the right agent and the right mortgage
lender is crucial in finding out what you qualify for. A better agent will help steer you in the right
direction.
Myth number three is that to sell your current home, you need to price your house with room to
negotiate. This can be a costly myth. By hiring an experienced agent who is a digital marketing and

Myth number four is that the less commission you have to pay the more money you’ll make. Have you
ever heard the expression “you get what you pay for?” This is the same with agents. You will pocket

Lastly, myth number five is that all agents are the same. Would you say that about you and your
profession? No, that’s far from the truth. Agents can have unique offerings that make them stand out
